Woman hurt in crash west of Salina Monday

A 48-year-old Salina woman was injured in a one vehicle crash Monday morning west of Salina.

Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan said Amy Larson was eastbound on State Street just west of the Burma Road intersection in a 2005 H2 Hummer when she went she went off the road because of the sun in her eyes, over corrected and went across the road and struck a tree.

Larson was transported to Salina Regional Health Center to be checked for possible arm and head injuries. The wreck occurred just before 7:30 a.m. and the Hummer had to be towed because of heavy front end damage.
