It’s almost time for Chucktoberfest!

Chucktoberfest is scheduled for October 4-7 at Chuck’s Bar, 600 N. Santa Fe.

In addition to four days of food, fun, music, and Oktoberfest beer, this year’s event will include a benefit .1K run to help with Mike Hay’s medical expenses.

Hay, 43, of Salina, was critically injured August 10 in a motorcycle accident in the 2600 block of South Ohio.

The .1K run is scheduled for 3 p.m. October 6 at Chuck’s. Santa Fe in front of Chuck’s will be closed from 2:30-4 p.m. October 6 to accommodate the race. Registration is scheduled to open at 2 p.m. that day. According to the event listing on Chuck’s Facebook page, the first 100 people to enter will receive a t-shirt and koozie. Both runners and walkers are welcome. The entry fee is $20 per person. All proceeds from the run will go toward Hay’s medical expenses. Persons with questions are asked to message Chuck’s Facebook page.

The four-day Chucktoberfest celebration also will include a barbeque on October 6, drink specials, prizes, the Sam Adams Girls, and multiple bands on Chuck’s new patio stage. The lineup for the bands includes the following.
