Jo Lynn Keller

Jo Lynn Keller was born on February 14, 1952 in Beloit, Kansas, the daughter of Bill and Mary Lou Rogers Berndt. She died Sunday, September 30, 2018 at her home in Glasco, Kansas at the age of 66.

Jo spent nearly her entire lifetime in Glasco, where she attended schools, and later worked as a school cook for more than 20 years.

On February 5, 1977, she was united in marriage with Gaynord Keller. Together the couple raised two children, Mandy and Beau.

Jo’s passion in life was cooking for others, which she parlayed into the restaurant and later the catering businesses.

During the summers, Jo had a favorite side venture of selling her homemade bierocks at local farmers markets.

In addition to her cooking, she greatly enjoyed following her kids’ activities, and doting on her granddaughter Carley. She also played the piano, and was a member of the VFW

Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bill.

Jo is survived by her husband Gaynord; her daughter, Mandy Keller and her husband Jim Johnston of Florida; her son, Beau and his fiancé Amy and her daughter Isabelle of Wichita; two grandchildren, Carley Keller and Cole Johnston; her mother, Mary Lou; five brothers, Brett Berndt of Minneapolis, Brian Berndt and wife Denise of Glasco, Braden Berndt and wife Karen of Glasco, Barry Berndt and wife Donna of Georgia, and Billy Bob Berndt and wife Mary of Salina; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be at 2 PM Sunday, October 7 at the Glasco Grade School Gymnasium. Cremation was chosen & there will be no visitation. Memorials may be given to the Family Expense Fund, Solomon Valley Hospice, or the American Cancer Society.
