Annual Salina Charity Horse Show next week

If you love horses, you don’t want to miss the Salina Charity Horse Show!

A Salina tradition since 1949, the Salina Charity Horse Show is scheduled for October 12-14 in Kenwood Park’s Agriculture Hall, 900 Greeley.

Sponsored by the American Saddlebred Association of Kansas, this family friendly event is open to the public at no charge, however, donations are appreciated. The event benefits Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Salina.

More than 150 horse trainers and exhibitors are expected for the event that brings competitors and vendors to Salina from as far away as Texas, Nebraska, Missouri, Colorado, and Oklahoma, as well as the entire state of Kansas.

Classes are held for several breeds, including American Saddlebred, Quarter Horse, Morgan, Arabian, Appaloosa, Miniature horses, and more.
