A.R. “Dick” Tilgner, 90, of Salina passed away Saturday Dec 1, 2018.
He was born Oct 22, 1928 in Salina, the son of William and Goldie (Erickson) Tilgner. Adolf was a graduate of Gypsum High School and Kansas State University. He worked as an aeronautical engineer for Beech Aircraft for over 40 years. He was member of several city, county and service organizations while working in Liberal and Salina.
He was a scout leader and he enjoyed golf and woodworking.
Dick was preceded by two wives, Iris and Cleo, and a son, Richard.
Survivors include two daughters, Chris Milligan and Kathy (Leroy) Mauch; daughter-in-law, Jacque Tilgner; and close friend, Mary Cole; Seven Grandchildren, Thirteen Great Grandchildren and One Great Great Grandchild.
A Celebration of Live will be held Thursday Dec 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Salina, with inurnment following in Roselawn Cemetery. Cremation was chosen, there will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers memorials are to the Trinity Lutheran Church. Ryan Mortuary, Salina, is in charge.
