Kansas State Fair to host Fight Before Christmas

HUTCHINSON – Santa might not be throwing chairs in the ring this weekend, but he will be present at the Fight Before Christmas Saturday at the Kansas State Fair.

The Kansas Wrestling Revolution event, which will feature a slate of professional wrestlers from across the state and Oklahoma, begins at 5 p.m. at the Sunflower South Building. Doors open at 4 p.m.

KWR has been in existence since 2015, said Nathan McClanahan, the fair’s facilities manager and the organizer of the event. He said KWR hosts several events in the Salina area. Organizers decided to bring the year to a close by having a performance in Hutchinson.

“It will make for a great night of fun and family entertainment,” McClanahan said.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the fair’s administration building or at the door the night of the show.

The “Fight Before Christmas” professional wrestling event is just one of several activities happening this weekend at Kansas State Fairgrounds. For more event information, visit www.kansasstatefair.com.
