ASSARIA — Michael L. Baker, 57, passed away peacefully Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, after a long battle with heart disease. He was born April 11, 1961 to Harley and Loretta Baker in Quincy, Ill.

Mike was the most caring, loving, and kind gentleman. He would give everything he owned to make sure everyone else was taken care of. He participated in rodeos, hunting, and loved the outdoors. He was a very family oriented, and a very involved husband, father, and grandpa (Papa).

He is survived by: his best friend and ex-wife, Lynnette Baker; daughters, Amanda Rego (Eric), Christina Moore (Jesse), and estranged daughter, Michelle Ramey (Troy); brother, Curtis Baker (Joyce); and 12 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his son, Cody Baker; and both sets of grandparents, Velma and Wilbur Brown, and Alice and Emer Baker.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be sent to Ryan Mortuary, Salina, or First Bank Kansas to help assist with funeral expenses.
