The City of Salina has announced a special commission meeting for  Thursday.

City commissioners are scheduled to meet at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in room 107 of the City-County Building, 300 W. Ash, for a special meeting for proceedings relating to the selection of a city manager.

According to a news release from the city, the commissioners will initially address preliminary matters warranting public discussion if there are any. They will then recess into executive session to interview and discuss individual candidates for the position of city manager with its consultant, Art Davis of Springsted/Waters Executive Search. Commissioners then will address post-executive session matters warranting public discussion, if there are any.
