An investigation is continuing into an incident in which an acquaintance stole nearly $7,000 in items from a home over a period of months.
Salina Police Detective Sergeant David Villanueva said Wednesday that the incidents happened July through December at a home in the 200 block of Hartland. He said that so far, the investigation has discovered $6,885 worth of items that were taken. Those items include the following.
- Video games
- Tools
- Rings
- Musical instruments
- Jewelry
- A firearm
Villanueva said that the person who took the items pawned them at various pawn shops in town. Not only is there video evidence of the person pawning the items, but each item pawned has paperwork associated with it that has the person’s information on it, he said.
