Busy agenda for county commission meeting Tuesday

Saline County Commissioners have a variety of items to deal with during their regular meeting Tuesday morning.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday in room 107 of the City-County Building, 300 W. Ash. A time for public comment is scheduled near the beginning of the meeting.

A discussion with Interim City Manager Mike Schrage is the third item on the agenda. Additional information was not provided with that particular agenda item.

The public safety enhanced computer-aided dispatch upgrade also is on the agenda and commissioners will be asked to approved Saline County’s $25,095.39 portion of the project with the City of Salina. According to information from the county Computer Technology Department request for action, $25,000 for the project was budgeted in the 2018 technology improvement plan budget.

Commissioners also will be asked to appoint/reappoint rural fire district board members. Those appointments/reappointments include the following.

At the conclusion of the regular meeting, the commissioners are scheduled to meet in a study session in room 107B of the City-County Building. Topics of the study session include the following.

  • County administrator’s weekly update — Deister (30 minutes)
  • Executive session: attorney-client privilege (30 minutes)
