Winter weather advisory in effect until 3 a.m.

Yet another winter weather advisory is in effect for Salina and a large portion of Kansas.

According to the National Weather Service office in Wichita, the winter weather advisory for our area is in effect until 3 a.m. Sunday.

Mixed precipitation expected. Snow accumulations up to an inch are possible in central Kansas. Ice accumulations of a light glaze are expected.

Plan on slippery conditions on roads and sidewalks. In addition, areas of freezing fog will be possible, especially this evening.

Also, be prepared for some early Monday below zero wind chills for our area.

Snow and freezing rain likely before 3 a.m., then a chance of snow between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. Cloudy, with a low around 15. East southeast wind 5 to 9 mph becoming light and variable. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Sunday
Cloudy, with a high near 30. Northwest wind 8 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Sunday Night
Increasing clouds, with a low around 12. North northwest wind 7 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Presidents Day
A 40-percent chance of snow after 7 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 23. North northwest wind around 9 mph.

Monday Night
A 40-percent chance of snow before 7 p.m. Cloudy, with a low around 14.

Tuesday
A chance of snow and freezing drizzle between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m., then snow likely. Cloudy, with a high near 24. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Tuesday Night
Snow likely, possibly mixed with freezing rain before 7 p.m., then snow. Low around 14. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent.

A 50-percent chance of snow before 7 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 29.
