Dahlquist began exploring photography as a young child, spending the early part of her career in commercial photography and film. She now exhibits extensively throughout the United States combining historic photographic process with contemporary materials and technology.
Committed to the accessibility of art for all people, Dahlquist exhibits in a variety of traditional and non-traditional settings and creates large scale public installations.

In addition to her own practice, Dahlquist is a facilitator for Artist Inc., a professional business development program for artists.
She also created the “Artist Sharing Knowledge” program for conducting artist business workshops presented by Salina Arts and Humanities.
