Salina woman hospitalized after 3-vehicle I-135 crash

SALINE COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just after 10:30a.m. Saturday in Saline County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1998 Ford Mustang driven by Darren Michael Ammon, 18, Lucas, was following another vehicle down the on ramp to southbound Interstate 135 from Waterwell Road.

As the Mustang and the other vehicle were merging onto the driving lane, the Mustang passed the other vehicle going from driving lane to passing lane and struck a 2015 GMC Sierra driven by John Keller, 52, Perry.

Then a 2017 Chevy Impala driven by Hannah M. Kuhlmann, Salina, rear-ended the Sierra.

Kuhlmann was transported to the hospital in Salina. Ammon and Keller were not injured. All three were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
