SALINE COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Saline County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Pontiac G6 driven by Keena B. Henderson, 22, Abilene, was westbound on Interstate 70 just east of Niles Road.

The driver failed to maintain a single lane to the right and struck 2007 Freightliner semi which was legally parked on the shoulder to secure the load.

The Pontiac came to rest in the median after impact.

Henderson was transported to the hospital in Salina. He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
