MaryAnn Tobias, 69, passed away March 25th, 2019 at Via Christi- St. Francis, Wichita KS. She was born October 3, 1949 in Hays the daughter of Henry and Agnes Drees.

She graduated from Marian High School in Hays in 1967 and from Ft. Hays State College in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Education.

She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Hutchinson, former longtime member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Lyons , St. Paul Altar Society and former church council member, she was a volunteer at Central Christian School in Hutchinson.

She was a retired para professional with USD 405 Lyons and a farm wife.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bob Drees.

She is survived by her husband Eddie of the home, son David and wife LeeAnn Tobias and daughter Jill Achatz both of Hutchinson, brother Larry and Joan Drees, Ellinwood. Grandchildren Kaylin Tobias, Reilly Tobias, Christian Achatz, Alexis Achatz.

Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church Hutchinson on Friday March 29th at 2:00Pm. with Father Michael Kerschen presiding. Burial will be at the Lyons Municipal Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00-5:00 Pm. at Birzer Funeral Home in Lyons with family present from 3:00 – 5:00 and from 6:30 -8:00Pm. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Hutchinson with family present. Parish rosary will be held at 7:00 Pm. Memorials can be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church or Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson Research in care of Birzer Funeral Home.
