A freeze warning is in effect for our area late Thursday night through mid-morning Friday.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a freeze warning for Clay, Cloud, Dickinson, Ellsworth, Lincoln, Marion, McPherson, Ottawa, Republic, and Saline counties from 11 p.m. Thursday to 10 a.m. Friday.

Temperatures are expected to fall into the mid- to upper-20s in portions of central Kansas and the upper-20s to low-30s across south central and southeast Kansas.

NWS notes that damage to outdoor plants will be likely with this freeze.
