A little more rain overnight; more expected this afternoon, evening

Rain is expected to continue this afternoon and this evening.

According to the National Weather Service, strong storms are possible throughout the area this afternoon and evening, with small hail and 50 mph winds possible.

While our area is forecast to get addition rain, the heaviest rain is expected to be along and east of the Kansas Turnpike.

Overnight, 0.20 of an inch of rain was recorded at the Eagle Communications studios in southeast Salina. The Salina Airport received 0.10 of an inch. Following are some of the overnight rainfall totals from the area.
