Burglar swipes $4,000 from residence

A Salina woman is out $4,000 worth of items after someone broke into her apartment in southeast Salina Tuesday.

Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said Wednesday that Kelcey Smith, 27, reported that sometime between 7:45 a.m. and 5:20 p.m., someone broke into her residence in the 1900 block of Glendale and stole the following items.

  • An Xbox 360
  • A Google Chromecast
  • An HP laptop
  • A Nikkon digital camera
  • A Minolta 35mm camera
  • Two other digital cameras
  • A leather purse
  • A lockbox
  • Miscellaneous jewelry

Smith told police that the front door was still locked when she returned home at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday. Forrester said there was no indication of forced entry.
