A Salina man was arrested Monday evening after he was reported for violation of a protection order.

Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of South Third after a family member reported that Jason R. Duffy, 34, was at the residence in violation of a protection order, Salina Police Captain Gary Hanus said Tuesday. Police talked with family members in the yard while Duffy was in the residence, Hanus said. The family members told police that Duffy had made verbal threats toward them, he said.

Duffy was arrested on suspicion of criminal threat, violation of a protection order, trespassing, and intimidation of a witness, Hanus said.
