A rural Saline County woman is missing a $1,000 saddle after someone got into a secure building on her property and stole it.

Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan said Friday that sometime between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday, someone got into a building on the property of Karen Hale, 62, in the 4300 block of North Ohio, and stole a brown Park and Trail model Circle Y brand saddle with silver conchos and a blank silver nameplate. Hale told deputies that the building had been secured but when the theft was discovered, the doors were open, Soldan said.

Soldan said there was no sign of forced entry.
