Steven Allen Rohrer, 43, was called to his heavenly home Saturday, May 18, 2019 after a hard-fought battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. He was born February 4, 1976 in Normal, Illinois, the son of David and Mary (Carlson) Rohrer.
He lived his whole life in the Hope area, attended the local schools, and graduated from Hope High in 1994.
On March 16, 2002 he was united in marriage to Dawn Heublein at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Salina.
Steven was a lifetime farmer, stockman, and cattleman.
Steven was also an avid fan of the Kansas State Wildcats and Kansas City Chiefs.
His favorite past time was spending time with his son, Cooper, taking Saturday morning trips to the Dillon COOP together.
He was a member of both the Banner Township Board and the Turkey Creek Watershed Board.
Steven is survived by his loving wife Dawn and son, Cooper, of the home. Parents: David and Mary Rohrer of Hope. Brother: Daniel Rohrer and wife Tammy of Mayetta, Kansas and their son, McCauley. Sister: Christa Rohrer of St. Cloud, Florida. Mother-in-Law and Father-in-Law Lynn and Ron Anderson of Dwight, Kansas and Father-in-Law John Heublein of Salina.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Emil and Esther Carlson and John and Esther Rohrer.
Funeral Services for Steven will be 10:30 A.M., Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the Carlton School House with Pastor Justin McKee officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, rural Carlton. Family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home in Abilene. Memorials may be given to the Cooper Rohrer Education Fund.
