Phyllis Devona Fobes was born on March 29, 1935 in Beloit, Kansas, the daughter of LeRoy A. and Trella Shane Fobes. She died early Thursday, June 27, 2019 at her home in Beloit, Kansas at the age of 84.  

She grew up and spent her life in Beloit, where she attended schools.

After high school, she worked for OCCK, and recently earned her 50 year recognition. At OCCK, she loved making buttons for various projects.

She also enjoyed spending time embroidering, and also had a great collection of owls.  

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Doris Gorman; and her brother, Darrel Fobes.  

She is survived by her sister, Bernita Garst of Salina; brother, Merlin Fobes of Beloit; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. 

Funeral Services for Phyllis Fobes, age 84 of Beloit, will be at 11:00 AM Monday, July 1 at the Roberts Funeral Home. Ms. Fobes died Thursday, June 27 at her residence.  Visitation will be on Sunday, June 30, from 1-6 PM with family present from 5-6 PM. Memorials may be given to the Solomon Valley Hospice or OCCK of Beloit.
