Salina Police investigating storage unit theft

Salina Police are investigating a storage unit burglary that resulted in the loss of more than $3,200 worth of items.

Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said Tuesday that sometime between 4 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. on Friday, someone cut the lock on a walk-through door to a unit at Broadway Storage, 440 S. Clark, and took the following items.

  • Five Toyo Open Country Tires (35×12.5×17) and five XD Off-Road wheels valued at $1,500
  • A Gravely pressure washer valued at $400
  • A black toolbox with miscellaneous tools valued at $1,200
  • A Chicago miter saw valued at $100

Forrester said the lock that was cut off was valued at $25.
