Local, area students receive Phi Theta Kappa scholarships at Washburn

TOPEKA, Kan. — Thirty-five incoming Washburn University students received the $1,000 Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship. This one-time scholarship is available for transfer students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa, an honor society for two-year colleges.

Scholarship recipients include:

Dakota Davis of Abilene

Noah Morgan of Salina

Katie Pfanz of Concordia

Founded in 1865, Washburn University is a public institution with more than 7,000 students and a 1,000 faculty and staff involved in more than 200 academic programs. Washburn’s programs lead to certification, associate, bachelor, master’s or doctor of nursing practice and juris doctor degrees.
