Salina Police are looking for a known suspect after approximately $1,000 in cash was stolen from a local laundromat early Tuesday.

Salina Police Captain Gary Hanus said Wednesday that sometime between 12:45-1 a.m. Tuesday, a known suspect was seen on video surveillance from the area using a key to enter Speedy Wash, 514 E. Iron. Once inside, the suspect used a key to enter the change machine and remove approximately $1,000 in cash, he said.

Within the past week, police received a report that keys were stolen from Speedy Wash, Hanus added.

The investigation is ongoing, he said.
