Sara F. Lundy

Sara F. Lundy, 93, died Monday, August 19, 2019, at Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis.

She was born Sept. 22, 1925, in Curwensville, Penn., to John Leon Dotts and Ellen McCloskey Dotts.

She married William George Lundy Sept. 22, 1946, in Pennsylvania.

She trained as a nurse and worked at Asbury Hospital when she moved to Salina in 1954 when her husband accepted a teaching job at Salina High School.

She was a member of Sunrise Presbyterian Church, Salina, from 1954 through 2010, and Salina High School Faculty Wives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brother, Howard.

She is survived by a son, William L. Lundy, Newcastle, Okla.; and daughters Patricia E. Fiedler (Gordon), Culver, Kan.; Beverly F. Tomasevich (Robb), Fresno, Calif.; and Joan M. Douglas (Jonathan), Kansas City, Mo; grandchildren Shannon Fiedler (Jillian), Jacksonville, Fla.; Mitchell Fiedler (Catherine), Alexandria Va.; Sara Wagner (Shawn), Shawnee, Kan.; Jodie Madge (Jamar), Lee’s Summit, Mo.; Andrew Douglas, Raytown, Mo.; Amy Pine (Bob), Raytown, Mo.; Marcus Douglas, Kansas City, Mo.; Laura Dietmeyer (Mike), Folsom, Calif.; Michael Ricklefs, Fresno, Calif.; and Leslie Berger (Loyd), Oklahoma City, Okla..

She is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019, at Ryan’s Mortuary, 137 S. Eighth, Salina, with Pastor Michele McHenry officiating. Burial will be in Crown Point Cemetery, Ottawa County.

The family suggests memorials to Ottawa County Health Center, Long-Term Care, in care of Ryan Mortuary 137 North Eighth Street, Salina, Kansas 67401.
