Police are investigating a vehicle burglary in central Salina in which 173 pairs of eyeglasses frames were stolen.
Sometime between 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3 p.m. Thursday, someone got into a 2015 Nissan Rogue owned by Krista Waldman, 32, of Salina, while it was parked near the intersection of South 11th Street and Washington Street, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said Friday. Stolen was a black case valued at $100 and 173 pairs of eyeglasses frames valued at $11,245 that belonged to Kenmark Eyewear of Louisville, Ky., he said.
Forrester said it appeared that the vehicle had been left unlocked as there was no sign of forced entry.
