Health officer, jail architect among county agenda items

Appointment of a health officer, selection of a jail architect, and updates are among the items on the Saline County Commission agenda for Tuesday.

The first of two county commission meetings is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday in room 107 of the City-County Building, 300 W. Ash. The meeting is scheduled to be recorded by Salina Media Connection.

A time for public comment is scheduled near the beginning of the meeting.

Commissioners are being asked to consider appointing Health Department Director Jason Tiller as the health officer for the county, with Dr. David Dupy continuing as medical consultant.
