Salina Police are investigating the theft of a landscaping trailer over the weekend.
Salina Police Captain Gary Hanus said Monday that sometime between 10:30 a.m. Friday and noon Sunday, someone stole an open trailer with landscaping equipment on it from the 1400 block of Woodland Ave. Tyler Pankratz, 28, of Salina, reported that his black trailer with metal sides, baskets for storage, and a wooden floor was taken, Hanus said. The trailer contained a variety of landscaping equipment belonging to Pankratz and Zachary Bendickson, 25, of Salina, including the following, Hanus said.
- A red and gray Ferris riding lawnmower
- A yellow and white Walker riding lawnmower
- A couple of weedeaters/edgers
- An orange and white Stihl backpack leaf blower
Total loss was estimated at just under $20,000, Hanus said.
