Salina Police are investigating a damage to property case in southeast Salina.

Sometime between 7 p.m. on Sunday and 6:30 p.m. Monday, someone put an approximate 12-inch scratch in the driver-side door of a 2012 BMW X5 belonging to Alexander Lankhorst, 55, of Salina, while it was parked in a driveway in the 1700 block of Eaglecrest Avenue, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said Wednesday. Damage was estimated at $1,000, he said.

A witness saw a group of juvenile males who may have been responsible for the damage, Forrester said. The case remains under investigation.
