LINDSBORG, Kan. — A number of Bethany College students are teaching in the surrounds area for the fall 2019 academic year.
Those student teachers include the following.
Jarod Meier — Middle school Health and PE at Salina South Middle School for 8 weeks and K-5 Health and PE at Sunset Elementary in Salina for 8 weeks
Sam Reed — Junior and Senior English at McPherson High School
Isaiah Fabrizius — Kindergarten at Ell-Saline Elementary
Logan McDowell — Third grade at Solomon Elementary for 10 weeks and K-5 ESL at Schilling Elementary in Salina for 6 weeks
Emma Wager — 3rd grade at Ell-Saline Elementary
Katelynn Adam — 4th grade at Southeast of Saline Elementary for 10 weeks and Special Education for 6 weeks at Heusner Elementary in Salina
Kaitlyn Wagner — 4th Grade at Meadowlark Ridge Elementary in Salina for 10 weeks and Special Education for 6 weeks(location to be determined)
Emily Perkins — 5-12 instrumental music at Salina High School South
Shalie Dahl — Health and PE, 8 weeks at Southeast of Saline High School and 8 weeks at Meadowlark Ridge Elementary in Salina
The Department of Education at Bethany College offers a certificate for teaching pre-kindergarten through grade 12; grade 6 through 12 for biology, business education, English, mathematics, social science and chemistry; elementary education from kindergarten through grade 6, and a certificate for pre-kindergarten through grade 12 for health and physical education, vocal music teaching and instrumental music teaching.
