A Cherryvale, Kan., man was cited after a motorcycle wreck on Ohio Street Friday afternoon.
According to Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester, Casey Hatfield, 31, was northbound in the 1100 block of South Ohio Street when he lost control of his Yamaha motorcycle. Forrester said witnesses told officers that Hatfield was driving without his hands on the handlebars. Witnesses noted that when cars ahead of him stopped, Hatfield grabbed the handlebars, slammed on the breaks, lost control, and rolled several times, Forrester said.
Hatfield was transported to Salina Regional Health Center, Forrester said. The motorcycle sustained damage to the right side, he added.
Forrester said Hatfield was cited for not having his hands on the handlebars and not having a motorcycle license.
