Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Johnstown Avenue early Wednesday morning for the report of a vehicle theft.

According to Salina Police Captain Gary Hanus, a 30-year-old female from Salina reported that a person she knows entered her residence in the 600 block of Johnstown Avenue and took her car fob and keys and then took her white 2016 Nissan Sentra.

The Sentra, valued at $13,000, had a Kansas license tag of 283 LHX, Hanus said. The fob and keys were valued at $300 he added.

Hanus said Salina Police are actively searching for the vehicle and the person believed to have taken it.
