MANHATTAN, Kan. — K-State begins the longest homestand in program history this weekend, as the Wildcats open a five-match homestand at Buser Family Park on Thursday against Gonzaga at 7 p.m. K-State hosts Tulsa on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Both matches this weekend will be broadcast on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ and available on kstatesports.com. Brian Smoller (play-by-play), Oscar Montenegro (analyst) and Adam Cook (sideline) will call both matches.
Thursday night’s match is Area 51 Night, as the first 100 K-State students will receive a K-State Soccer LED Alien Headband. Sunday afternoon’s match is Junior Wildcats Club Day on National Batman Day. The first 100 kids 12 and under will receive a Powercat Batman mask.

Weekend in Review

For the third time in three trips to the Pacific Time Zone, Kansas State recorded a recorded of 0-1-1, playing a to a draw at CSUN on September 6 and a loss at Cal State Fullerton on September 8. K-State is 0-3-3 all-time in matches played west of the Rocky Mountains.
K-State played CSUN to a scoreless draw. Senior goalkeeper Emma Malsy earned her third shutout of the season and the ninth of her K-State career with a personal season-high seven saves.
In the finale in Southern California, the Wildcats dropped a 2-0 decision at Cal State Fullerton. Both goals for the Titans came in the final 15 minutes of the match.
K-State is winless in its last eight road matches (0-6-2), dating back to the 2018 season. The last road win came at Tulsa on September 16, 2018, by a 3-0 decision.
In their last eight road matches, K-State has scored just two goals; both at Creighton in the 2019 season-opener. K-State is currently in the midst of a road scoreless streak of 389:54.

Shots, Shots and More Shots

Kansas State has piled up the total shot attempts following the first three weeks of the season.
K-State ranks 28th in the nation and second in the Big 12 in shots per game at 17.33.
The Wildcats recorded a season-high 27 shots against Arkansas State on August 29 and 23 shots against South Dakota State on September 1. The 27 shots rank tied for second in program history for a single match, while the 23 are tied for fourth.
In the 2018 season, K-State had a total of three matches with 20 or more total shots.

K-State Posts Blank Scoresheets

K-State has registered 19 shutouts in its four seasons of action. Kansas State owns an all-time record of 13-0-6 in games allowing zero goals. The Wildcats registered a school-record six shutouts in the 18 matches of the 2018 season.
Of the 19 shut outs in program history, two goalkeepers own all of them. Miranda Larkin set the school record for career shut outs with 10, while current senior goalkeeper Emma Malsy has the other nine.
Malsy is responsible for all three shutouts in the 2019 season.
Defensively, the Wildcats allowed a shots on goal percentage of .329 in the six shutouts of 2018 including four efforts below 40.0 percent.
Malsy set a new career-high for saves with 11 at Indiana on September 9, 2018. This was the most saves in a shutout in program history. Malsy also set the program record for shutouts in a season, as she was credited with all six.
