The Saline County Road and Bridge Department plans to close part of East Water Well Road later this week.

According to a department release, Water Well Road from Ohio Street east to Holmes Road will be closed to thru traffic Tuesday through Friday, weather permitting, to permit Saline County to replace a crossroad drainage structure.

Motorists are advised to allow a few extra minutes of travel time to reach their destinations.  Local and emergency traffic will be provided access to private property within the sections of closed road at all times but only from the half-mile side upon which the property lies.
