A Colorado man lost his $4,600 bicycle while staying overnight in Salina.
Sometime between 8 p.m. on Sunday and 7 a.m. on Monday, someone stole a $4,600 2017 gray and orange Santa Cruz bicycle belonging to David Penhale, 74, of Snowmass, Colo., Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said. The bicycle had been chained to a rack on Penhale’s car and was stolen while Penhale was staying at Motel 6, 635 W. Diamond Drive, Forrester said.
On Monday morning, Penhale went out to his car and discovered that the chain had been cut and the bike stolen, Forrester said.
