Pallet thieves have hit a local store once again.
Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said Friday that sometime between midnight and 7 a.m. on Thursday, someone broke into a locked, fenced-in area and stole 200 wooden pallets from Tractor Supply, 3120 Riffel Dr. The pallets were valued at $1,000, he said.
The incident was the second time in three weeks that someone had stolen pallets from the business. Approximately 200 pallets also were stolen on Aug. 29, Forrester explained. Surveillance video from the Aug. 29 incident showed two white males loading pallets onto a white Dodge flatbed pickup, he said.
Salina Police are collecting surveillance video from Thursday’s incident to try to determine who the thieves are, Forrester added.
