A flood warning has been issued for parts of Mitchell and Jewell counties.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), a flood warning is in effect for northwestern Mitchell County and south-central Jewell County until 11 a.m. Monday.

At 11:01 a.m. CDT Sunday, reporting gauges just downstream of Glen Elder indicated flooding on the Solomon River mainly from heavy inflows from a flooded Limestone Creek.

The flood warning includes the following streams and drainages, according to NWS.

• Limestone Creek
• Oak Creek,
• Granite Creek
• Solomon River
• Brown Creek
