Two people were injured in a single-vehicle rollover early Sunday morning in southern Saline County.
First responders were called to South Burma Road about a quarter-mile north of the Saline-McPherson county line at 1:30 a.m. Sunday where they found a white 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee in the ditch, Saline County Sheriff Rodger Soldan said Monday. Two occupants of the Cherokee, driver Brynden Annis, 29, of Marquette, and passenger Emily Randolph, 27, of Wichita, were trapped in the vehicle and had to be rescued through the sunroof by Lindsborg Fire and EMS personnel, Soldan said. Both occupants received minor injuries but refused medical treatment, he added.
The vehicle had been northbound on Burma Road when it went off the east side of the road, and then traveled in the ditch until it struck a culvert and rolled twice, coming to rest on the driver’s side, Soldan said.
Annis was cited for improper driving on a roadway and driving while under the influence, Soldan said.
