A Salina man was injured in a single-vehicle rollover northwest of Salina.

According to Saline County Sheriff’s Captain Jim Hughes, emergency responders were dispatched to the 3400 block of North Halstead Road shortly before 7 a.m. Wednesday. Hughes said that Michael Sorden, 37, of Salina, was attempting to turn south onto North Halstead Road, and when he realized that he wasn’t going to make the corner, he overcorrected, causing his 2003 Buick Rendezvous to roll into the ditch. The vehicle came to rest on its top, Hughes said.

Sorden suffered a possible broken arm and was transported by Salina EMS to Salina Regional Health Center, Hughes said.

According to Hughes, Sorden was cited for the following.

  • Driving with a suspended license
  • Improper driving on a laned roadway
  • Not reporting the accident

The vehicle received disabling damage, Hughes added.
