LAWRENCE – The Kansas student-athletes tied an all-time school record by recording a combined 85 percent Graduation Success Rate (GSR), which was previously set during the 2015-16 academic year (85 percent).
Twelve Kansas Athletics programs registered at least an 81 percent graduation success rate, with four teams posting perfect scores, according to the latest data released by the NCAA on Wednesday. For the first time since 2012-13, each of the women’s teams posted a GSR of 80 percent or higher.
“Our student-athletes work extremely hard in the classroom, and the recent GSR results are a testament of their collective efforts paying off,” said Director of Athletics Jeff Long. “At KU, we pride ourselves in being leaders in all aspects of life and am proud of the efforts from these terrific student-athletes.”
This data measures the graduation rates achieved by scholarship student-athletes who entered KU from 2008-11.

The graduation success rate measures the number of scholarship student-athletes who enter an institution and the number who graduate within six years, taking into account transfers and student-athletes who leave in good academic standing.
For the eighth year in a row, Kansas men’s basketball posted a 100 percent four-year GSR, meaning for a four-year average, all scholarship student-athletes either graduated or left the program in good academic standing. The women’s golf team achieved a 100 percent four-year GSR for the seventh-consecutive year. The women’s basketball and tennis teams also posted 100 percent four-year GSR scores for the second-straight year.
