Police investigating residential burglary in north Salina

A man is missing nearly $1,400 worth of items after a residential burglary in north Salina.

Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said Friday that sometime between Oct. 14 and Thursday, someone broke into a residence in the 1000 block of North Santa Fe Avenue by breaking out the window on the back door. Forrester said a 55-year-old man who lives at the residence told police that when he returned home on Thursday after an out-of-town trip, he noticed a number of items missing, including the following.

  • Two wristwatches
  • A VIZIO flat-screen television
  • Several DeWalt tools
  • A number of miscellaneous household items

Total loss was estimated at just under $1,400, Forrester said.
