SALINE COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just after 2:30p.m. Friday in Saline County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Honda Accord driven by Sadie Jo James, 16, Salina, was westbound on Kansas Highway 4 at Simpson Road.

The vehicle rear ended a 2008 Chevy Cobalt driven by Olivia Nichole Pennington, 17, Salina, that had slowed down for a tractor.

EMS transported James to Salina Regional Medical Center. Pennington was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
