Fans can find important information and reminders regarding Sunday’s game below.
Chiefs Celebrate Salute to Service Game, Presented by USAA
The Chiefs and USAA, Official Salute to Service Partner of the Chiefs, have partnered to embrace the NFL’s Salute to Service initiative by recognizing and supporting retired and active-duty military personnel before and during Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings. Prior to kickoff, the Naval Operations Support Center will present our nation’s colors as United States Air Force and Afghanistan War Veteran Mark Lindquist performs our national anthem.
Three F-18 Hornets, operated by personnel from the Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia, are scheduled to perform a pregame flyover (weather permitting) over Arrowhead Stadium at the conclusion of the national anthem.
A special halftime rendition of American Soldier will be performed by Dexter Roberts, finalist for both The Voice and American Idol, on the Arrowhead Stadium playing surface, as he will be surrounded by 60 service-members from each branch of the United States military holding red, white and blue star flags.
All Arrowhead Stadium pro shops will have special Salute to Service products available for purchase, with proceeds going toward charitable contributions to the NFL’s nonprofit military partners. Groups such as the USO, the Pat Tillman Foundation and the Wounded Warrior Project are direct beneficiaries of the net proceeds, helping to empower and support retired and active-duty military personnel and their families.
The USAA family of companies provides insurance, banking, investments, retirement products and advice to 13 million current and former members of the U.S. military and their families. For more information about USAA, visit usaa.com.

For each home game in the 2019 season, the club will select one honoree who embodies the spirit of Lamar Hunt and represents the four pillars of the Chiefs Mission: Win with Character, Unite our Community, Inspire our Fans and Honor Tradition. The two gold seats are located in Section 121 of the lower bowl, symbolically positioned under Lamar Hunt’s name in the team’s Ring of Honor.
United States Marine Corps E-8 Master Sergeant and Leiomyosarcoma survivor Josh Parris will serve as this week’s Lamar Hunt Legacy Seat honoree.
