Tuition Hikes For Kansas Public Universities?

footer-leadingKansas regents considering increase of tuition for public university students in Kansas. Tuition could increase 9% this fall if the proposed hikes are implemented. By implementing the increase it could raise $34 million in the next fiscal year beginning in July.

The increase would offset some of the cuts in state funding while allowing an increase of pay for the faculty.

All the universities will see different increases if this goes through, out-of-state Emporia State University students would see the highest increase at 8.8%. The lowest increase would fall under out-of-state veterinary medical students at Kansas State University, their increase will be 3%.The increase for undergraduates from Kansas would be 7% at KSU and just under 5% at KU.
