Rain Soaks Parts Of Central Kansas Thursday Morning

rainThunderstorms bring soaking rains to portions of central Kansas Thursday.

National Weather Service in Wichita estimates about 2.5 inches of rain fell in parts of Lincoln County early Thursday morning, that prompted a flood warning for the southeast part of the county until just before noon.

There was also a report of 3.20 inches of rain 5 miles south of Hillsboro in Marion County between 8:30am and 11:00am.

The storms brought quite a bit of lightning and .74 inches of rain recorded at the Salina Regional Airport.

This may be the last rainfall for at least the next week. Forecast is calling for dry conditions and highs in the mid to upper 90s through next Wednesday.
