Salina Police have released the name of the man who jumped off of the north Broadway viaduct late Friday morning and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Lt. Scott Siemsen said a passerby call authorities just after 11:00a.m. Friday reporting a man had apparently jumped off the west side of the viaduct.
42-year-old Daniel W. Zeller of Sylvan Grove was found lying on the ground by police with a rope tied around his neck.
Siemsen said that Zeller jumped from a height in excess of 30-feet and that also the rope was not a cause of his death.
The incident is being investigated as a suicide.
