Police are looking for a man who stole a diamond ring from a jewelry store late Monday afternoon.

Just before 5:30p.m. a man described as a white male in his 40’s or 50’s, about 5’10 in height went into Showcase Diamond Jewelers at 2328 Planet Ave, and ask to look at diamond rings.

While being shown the rings, the man grabbed one ring and ran from the store.

The ring is described as a 14-karat white gold solitaire diamond ring, valued at $5,000.

Police are hoping to release security footage of the man who was wearing a blue ball cap, blue jeans, and a jean jacket.
