Janet Marie Thornhill, 55, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Monday, November 18th, 2013.

Janet was born in Norton, Kansas on February 24, 1958, daughter of the late Mary Elizabeth (Roeder) and James Newton Reyer.

She was a manager of the Regis Hair Salon in Salina and manager for McDonalds in Topeka and Lawrence.

On July 30, 1977, Janet married Greg Thornhill.

Survivors include her husband, Greg; brothers, Larry Reyer, Alan Reyer, Mike Reyer; sisters, Nancy Drake, Barbara Brown, Kandi Gibson, and Lorraine Phillips.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Terry Reyer.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm, November 21, 2013 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Salina, Kansas, with Pastor Kent Happel officiating.

At the family’s request there will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Tammy Walker Cancer Center, 511 S. Santa Fe, Salina, Kansas.

Tim Crocker, 36, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013. After a long battle with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, he has gone home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Tim was born Dec. 25, 1976, to Alexander T. Crocker Jr. and Cheryl (Haberberger) Crocker Owens.

He attended school in Abilene until he was 16. He then attended Tescott High School, graduating in 1995. He continued his education at Salina Area VoTech School, learning the trade of welding. He has spent the past 17 years employed by Habco of Salina.

On May 22, 1999, he married Amy L. Hendrich. He was blessed with his first child, Adylaide Grace, in 2008, and was preceded in death by a second unborn child in 2010.

Tim will be most remembered for being a faithful follower of Christ; for his heart of generosity and a desire to reach and serve the lost; for being a loving and devoted husband and father; for his unique sense of humor; for high flying, shot-swatting, cul-de-sac dunk basketball; and for pouring his heart out on the drum set while playing on the praise team at church.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, Alexander T. Crocker Sr., Greg and Jackie Haberberger, and Reuben Hendrich. Survivors include: wife, Amy (Hendrich) Crocker; daughter, Adylaide G. Crocker; siblings, Chad Hendrich (Joy), Shaun Crocker (Nikkie), Justin Crocker (Angie), Robert Ogden (Sharon), Micheal Ogden, Matthew Ogden (Samantha), Lori Killen (Brian), Doug Wetzel (Jill); parents, Alexander Crocker Jr. (Ruth), Cheryl Owens (Gene), Leslie Hendrich (Sue), Barbara Wetzel (Wayne); grandparents, Jeannie Crocker and Ina Hendrich; and many extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from noon until 8 p.m. today, Nov. 19, with the family receiving friends from 5 to 8 p.m. at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. A Celebration of Life service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at Webster Conference Center Chapel, North Ohio Street and I-70, Salina.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to an education fund for Adylaide Crocker or a charitable fund to be divided among the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, American Cancer Society “Hope Lodge Of Kansas City,” Be The Match Foundation or American Red Cross. Ryan Mortuary, Salina, is handling arrangements.
