Captain Roger Soldan said it appeared that the semi was westbound on Mentor and then while turning right to go north on Ohio, ran on top of the guardrail and also knocked over a stop sign.
The incident occurred between 3p.m. Tuesday and 8:20a.m. Wednesday.
It is believed that the truck had to have been backed up to get off of the guardrail.
